J. Widerynski - President Polish American Congress of Southern California
Richard J. Widerynski - Born in Somerville, New Jersey, March 1952, one
of five children born to Stanislaw and Genowefa Widerynski who immigrated
to the U.S. from England in 1951. Attended Somerville High School, graduated
in 1970. Attended Alliance College, graduated in 1974 with a degree in
Sociology. Completed a graduate degree in Social Work at West Virginia
University, Morgantown, West Virginia in 1980. Moved to California in
1980 began employment as a social worker in health care settings. Attended
night school and completed another graduate degree in Health Care Administration
from California State University Long Beach in 1992. In 1996 began employment
as a nursing home administrator. Have been married for twelve years to
my wife Karen. We have one daughter. I have been a lifelong member of
the Polish National Alliance and am presently a member of PNA Paderewski
Lodge 3139 Long Beach, California as well as Lodge 700 of Los Angeles.
Was President of Lodge 3139 from 1993 until 1999 and became a Commissioner
of the Polish National Alliance in 1994. Have been the Vice-President
for Public Affairs of the Polish American Congress of Southern California
since 1996 and became President in August of 2001. Sincerely, Richard
